CMFA Issues $15,156,000 in Bonds for Azahar Place

Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation completed the issuance of $15,156,000 for the affordable multi-family rental housing facility located in the City of Ventura, Ventura County, California.

CMFA Financings Enable $55,000 in Contributions to California Nonprofits

The CMFA continues to give back to the communities in California by directing a portion of its issuance fees to charitable organizations. Two 501(c)(3) organizations received $55,000 total in contributions from the California Foundation for Stronger Communities with funds donated by the CMFA.

The two well-deserving organizations include:

Cancer Angels of San Diego is a unique San Diego County organization that provides support for patients with any type of Stage IV cancer who are struggling with severe financial difficulties.

Hope University, home of the Hi Hopes, is a fine-arts infused day-program for adults with developmental disabilities. Individuals attending the program have the opportunity to participate in and develop their talents in the visual and performing arts while developing their social, behavioral and cognitive skills.

The CMFA continues to give back to the communities in California by directing a portion of its issuance fees to charitable organizations. Five 501(c)(3) organizations received $80,000 total in contributions from the California Foundation for Stronger Communities with funds donated by the CMFA.

The five well-deserving organizations include:x

Anaheim Interfaith Shelter been serving homeless families with children in a nine month transitional housing program. Through weekly case management services focusing heavily on debt repayment, savings and budgeting classes, these working parents are able to focus on regaining permanent housing and stability for their family.

Camp Harmony provides homeless and impoverished children with hope and opportunities to develop positive self-esteem through interactions with teenage and adult role models.

Desert AIDS Project provides medical care and comprehensive support services to people living with HIV/AIDS in the desert community.

Desert Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting residents in the Coachella Valley and surrounding communities who need financial assistance in obtaining screening, diagnosis and treatment for cancer and allied diseases.

Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is a nonprofit charitable organization that has been serving the disadvantaged of the community since 1973. The Food Bank is at the heart of a charitable food distribution network that includes over 900 charitable agency sites in Los Angeles County.
