The CMFA continues to give back to the communities in California by directing a portion of its issuance fees to charitable organizations. Three 501(c)(3) organizations received $65,000 total in contributions from the California Foundation for Stronger Communities with funds donated by the CMFA.
The three well-deserving organizations include:
Furnishing Hope of Orange County provides a home like environment for kids and families in stressful situations. Recipients include qualifying new homeowners, youths emancipating from the foster care system, homeless families moving to second step homes and the developmentally disabled.
Los Angeles Police Memorial Fund provides grants for widows and orphans of officers killed in the line of duty, and or many other catastrophic occurrences within the LAPD family.
Moral Values Program provides services to children such as a home-school charter school to build a stronger youth through the principals of the Moral Values Program which are: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit.

The seven well-deserving organizations include:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Redlands serving the communities of Loma Linda, Mentone, Redlands, and San Bernardino. The Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow — all while having fun. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and influence.
Chinatown Service Center is the largest community-based Chinese American health and human services organization in Southern California that provides outstanding services and advocacy that promote better quality of life and equal opportunity for immigrants and other communities.
Jai Lao Foundation is a small nonprofit organization of devoted volunteers with hearts that beat as one to serve and help Lao brothers and sisters in need. They believe in giving back to the community at large while embracing the Lao culture. Jai Lao hopes to encourage and inspire others to come together as one Lao Community, collaborating to enhance and improve the act of caring and giving together.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. LLS mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Search to Involve Pilipino Americans (SIPA) provides health and human services as well as community economic development and arts/cultural programs for low to moderate income youth and families in multi-ethnic Historic Filipino town and other residents in the greater Los Angeles and Southern California metropolitan area.
Venice Community Housing Corporation helps low-income people stabilize their lives through non-profit affordable housing and comprehensive skills training. Non-profit affordable housing programs are supported by a comprehensive range of life skills coaching, job training, youth development and employment, and family services. Formerly homeless and low-income participants are able to stabilize their lives and achieve economic self-reliance, making our communities stronger, safer and more inclusive for everyone.
Women Escaping a Violent Environment (WEAVE) provides crisis intervention services to women, men and children in Sacramento County who have experienced domestic violence or have been sexually assaulted.
