CMFA Financings Enable $85,000 in Contributions to California Nonprofits
The CMFA continues to give back to the communities in California by directing a portion of its issuance fees to charitable organizations. Six 501(c)(3) organizations received $85,000 total in contributions from the California Foundation for Stronger Communities with funds donated by the CMFA.
The six well-deserving organizations include:
Someone Cares Soup Kitchen provides a daily nutritional meal to homeless, unemployed, working poor families, senior citizens, the unemployed or under-employed, the mentally and physically challenged and most important – the children.
Sound Body Sound Mind Foundation provides a comprehensive physical fitness program established to promote self-confidence and healthy lifestyle choices among high school and middle school students. In partnership with school districts around the nation, Sound Body Sound Mind provides participating high schools and middle schools with the resources to be fit; state-of-the-art exercise equipment, professional development for educators and a comprehensive fitness curriculum.
Chapman College AMVETS Legal Clinic is a pro-bono law clinic for military service personnel and Veterans unlike any other on the West Coast. The program provides invaluable experience to Academic Fellows and free legal representation to veterans, service members and their families.
Community Catalysts of California provides vocational counseling, job placement, community-living skills training, residential support, in-home respite care, crisis intervention and other services to individuals with disabilities.
Rose Center Theater is a nonprofit corporation located in the heart of Orange County that serves the community in a variety of ways by helping bring the arts to young and old alike. The Rose Center Theater produces four Broadway-style Musicals every season.
Navy SEAL Foundation provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families. Support includes help with memorial services and defray the financial costs for travel for immediate family members who live far away, scholarship programs and other educational assistance, and funding for monuments and memorials to fallen operators across the country.
