CMFA Financings Enable $50,000 in Contributions to California Nonprofits

The CMFA continues to give back to the communities in California by directing a portion of its issuance fees to charitable organizations. Two 501(c)(3) organizations received $50,000 total in contributions from the California Foundation for Stronger Communities with funds donated by the CMFA.

The two well-deserving organizations include:

·         Mar Vista Family Center provides low-income families with quality early childhood education, youth enrichment, and educational tools to create positive change in their lives and their community. Every program adheres to the basic premise that it is critical to empower children, teens and adults to play vital and responsible roles – as decision makers, community leaders and advocates, mentors, classroom volunteers, and fundraisers.

·         Spark is a national nonprofit that provides life-changing apprenticeships to middle school students from disadvantaged communities. Spark’s one-on-one workplace apprenticeships empower young people to succeed in their education and beyond.
