The California Municipal Finance Authority (“CMFA”) is a Joint Powers Authority created to strengthen local communities by assisting with the financing of economic development and charitable activities throughout the State of California. With the goal of giving back to California communities, the CMFA assists local governments, non-profits and businesses with the issuance of taxable and tax-exempt financing aimed at improving the standard of living in California.

The California Municipal Finance Authority is committed to promoting economic and social programs in our member communities. The CMFA shares 25% of all issuance fees directly with our Member Communities and donates another 25% to the California Foundation for Stronger Communities for the support of local charities.

The CMFA's goal of combining the economic benefits associated with new capital investments along with giving back to the local municipalities and charitable organizations encourages economic growth and community development for our member communities.
